Blippy.com is a site that allows consumers to share purchases with friends. Would you? You can share explicit details or just dollar amounts. I am not sure I am ready for my life to look like a stock ticker and I can imagine there will be some funny stories of purchases made at inopportune times and broadcast to all.
The other problem with this model is that it is after the fact. I am more interested in what happens before the purchase. Why not build a real time demand engine (RTDE)? Sign up to the service and add your intent to purchase. The system then tracks other consumers looking to make a purchase and makes a block request to a vendor. The engine provides the total number of consumers and product to a vendor. The vendor, say Amazon for example then provides a block price for the community and a sale is made. The RTDE owner takes a cut and we have an online version of Costco or BJ's.
